Cold Water Safety

It is spring again….finally!  We are all coming out of winter hibernation and getting excited about spending time outside.  Along with the warmer temperatures comes thinning ice and slippery shores.  Did you know that it can take less than 11 minutes to drown in cold water if you aren’t wearing a life jacket?  Without thermal protection you can lose body heat 25 times faster in water than in air even when they are the same temperature.
